One of my favourite influencers and fashion bloggers is Julia Hengel, the founder of Gal Meets Glam blog (you can check her blog here). She has been my style icon for the past two years and I draw inspiration from her elegant and classic looks almost every day. She is the perfect of epitome of my style philosophy – classic looks that are elevated with a fun accessory (like a bow in her hair) or a statement piece of jewelry. One of the things that she had a massive influence on is my love for the classic pair of loafers.
The most classic pair of loafers that I own are definitely these blush pink loafers that I bought last year from Deichman. This has become my most-worn pair of shoes for the past year – I wear them in the warm spring season with cute cardigans and elegant shirts, in the hot summer days with a nice pastel pleated skirt, and for my relaxed autumn strolls in the park in combination with classic trench coats. They have proved so versatile that I am considering buying an additional pair from this year’s collection of Deichman (like this one).
These loafers are not only beautiful but they are also extremely comfortable. They were my go-to shoes during our Europe trip at the beginning of September – I walked for hours every day and I did not have any issue with them. What more is needed from a pair of shoes – stylish and comfortable!
This year’s addition to my small collection of loafers have been these beautiful loafers in the most gorgeous shade of blue. I bought them from Deichman while we were in Vienna and they have become my most worn shoes this autumn. They literally go with everything in my wardrobe as I am a big fan of the blue colour. I have been wearing them with jeans, trousers, skirt, and even dresses – you name it. Again, the versatility of the shoes amazes me and I am constantly experimenting with different outfits.
Are the loafers part of your shoe collection? How do you style them? Let me know in the comments 🙂
