Action For Happiness – January 2020

Hello lovelies!

It has been a while since I last spoke to you on my blog.

I have to admit that 2019 was a whirlwind of events and emotions that took higher priority in my to-do list than writing regularly on my blog. I finished my Master’s Degree in Public Relations; I finally took that driving course that I had been postponing for the last 6 years; I focused on my relationships both with my family and my closer friends; I changed my job after months of exhaustion and frustration with my previous employer. Above all, I got ENGAGED back in August and I think that was the biggest highlight not only of the year but of the decade! I had dreamt of this for a very long time and when I saw my now fiancé on his knees, I knew that this was the best moment in our relationship so far.

Emotions wise, I felt everything on the emotions specter in 2019 – I was incredibly happy and in love; I was on the verge of depression and faced some of the darkest moments of my life so far; I was energetic and vibrant; I was fed up with everybody and everything and lost my motivation that used to drive me forwards; I was (and still am) very grateful for everything that life brings me as no matter how hard it can get, I now know that the unpredictability of life is what makes it interesting. You can never be fully prepared for what is ahead of you and sometimes you need to adapt to the circumstances (no matter how hard it can sound) and take your lessons.

The purpose of this post is not to review my 2019 – I think this will be the first time in years that I won’t be doing my annual year review. I am taking the turn of the new decade as a blank page and I will try to fill it in with amazing new experiences constantly building on the lessons learnt so far.

So to start the New Year off fresh, I decided to make my January a month of positive action – small steps that will bring me happiness each day and remind me why our life is so wonderful. I have taken the idea from one of my favourite UK bloggers, Monica Beatrice (http://www.theelginavenue.com/) while adapting it to my life and favourite things that bring me joy.

I have come up with 31 small actions – one for each day of January – that sometimes will prompt you to do something you rarely find the time for, or remind you of what is really important in life, or take you out of your comfort zone. All of these actions can be found in the pictures below (or by downloading the whole document following the link below). Feel free to download the document or come back to my blog and do the experiment with me. I will be documenting my journey in January taking all the actions over on my Instagram Stories and here on the blog.

I hope that you will join me in this experiment and will have fun with me. Let me know in the comments whether you will be participating.

Love,

Chrisy
